Privacy Policy

SasaTech Inc. (the "Operator") sets out below how it handles user information in "Maid Cafe Simulator" (the "Service"), a browser game. The Service has no account registration and does not ask for your name or email address.

1.Information we handle

The Service handles the following information.

  • Game progress: Save data (including what you enter, such as your company name and shop name) and tutorial status are stored in your browser's localStorage (save data uses the key maid-sim:save), not on the Operator's servers. Save data may be sent to the server for game calculations, but the server only returns the result and does not store the data it receives.
  • Analytics: In production, Google Analytics 4 records page views and in-game events (opening a shop, closing a month, resolving events, borrowing, hiring, reaching an ending, resuming a game, deleting save data, and sharing). Google also collects information such as your browser and device type, approximate region, and the time of access. The events the Operator sends contain only in-game identifiers and numbers. We do not send text you enter, such as your company name or shop name, or any personally identifiable information. We also use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views.
  • Delivery and protection: The Service is delivered by Vercel. To prevent excessive requests, the Vercel Firewall limits the number of game actions per IP address. IP addresses are processed by Vercel, and the Operator does not use them to identify users.

2.How we use information

The Operator uses the information it obtains for the following purposes:

  • to provide the Service and to save and resume your game progress;
  • to understand how the Service is used and to improve it and adjust the game; and
  • to prevent excessive requests and unauthorized access, and to keep the Service running reliably.

The Operator does not use information beyond the scope of these purposes.

3.External services

The Service uses the following external services. Information handled by each service is subject to that provider's privacy policy.

  • Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC): used for analytics. Google's privacy policy is available at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
  • Vercel (Vercel Inc.): used to deliver the Service, count page views, and limit the number of requests. Vercel's privacy policy is available at https://vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.
  • Google Forms (Google LLC): used to collect feedback. The "Send feedback" link opens a Google Form, and what you enter in the form is handled on Google's services.
  • X (formerly Twitter): used to share results. The share button opens X's post screen, and you post the URL of the share page, which includes your company name, shop name, and game results, yourself. What you post is public and subject to X's terms and privacy policy.

4.Cookies

Google Analytics 4 uses cookies for analytics. The Service also uses a cookie to remember the display language you choose.

We currently do not show a notice asking for consent to the use of cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

5.Retention

Information stored in your browser, such as save data, remains there until you delete it.

Information collected by Google Analytics 4 is retained in accordance with Google's terms and the data retention period the Operator sets in Google Analytics.

Information that accompanies delivery, such as IP addresses, is handled in accordance with Vercel's terms.

6.Your choices

You can choose how your information is handled in the following ways.

  • Deleting save data: You can delete it with "Delete save data" on the title screen or in the menu of the management screen. Clearing your browser's site data also deletes it.
  • Browser settings: You can block or delete cookies and clear site data.
  • Opting out of Google Analytics: The Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on provided by Google (https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout) stops measurement by Google Analytics.
